The Grand Hotel Capodimonte was a former convent of nuns, also known as 'delle morette', which rescued little girls from slavery in the Holy Land. The building was founded on May 10, 1859, the last year of Bourbon domination, and has now been transformed into a charming 4-star hotel that preserves the architectural structure of the era. Upon entering, you find its hall where time seems to have stopped 150 years ago. A bit further, a breathtaking and ancient courtyard is found, surrounded by the charm of its spacious rooms, once intended for the sisters of the convent.
